Trump Grows Weary of Ukraine Peace Talks Wall Street Journal Reports
According to webangah News agency, The Wall Street Journal cited informed sources reporting that U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with the Ukraine peace talks and may withdraw from the process entirely.
The sources indicate Trump is also considering options for new sanctions against Russia, particularly following escalating military attacks that have heightened frustration within the White House.
The report adds that potential U.S. sanctions would exclude banking restrictions but notes Washington has alternative measures to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin.
These sanctions reportedly aim to compel Moscow into accepting a 30-day ceasefire along conflict fronts.
The Wall Street Journal also quoted a White House spokesperson stating Trump has “clearly expressed” his desire to reach a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
The spokesperson added: “The president has wisely kept all options [regarding Ukraine peace talks] on the table.”
