Israel fails to halt wave of flight cancellations to occupied territories
According to webangah News Agency, Israel’s public broadcaster Kan reported that foreign airlines persist in canceling flights despite political pressure campaigns.
The Israeli media outlet also stated that the flight cancellation crisis in the occupied territories will not be resolved soon, raising concerns among political and security circles within the Zionist regime.
Meanwhile, German airline Lufthansa extended its suspension of flights to the occupied territories until June 15 (Sunday, June 25 in the Persian calendar).
Lufthansa,Germany’s largest airline,cited ongoing security concerns due to tensions provoked by the Zionist regime in the region as justification for prolonging its Tel Aviv flight suspensions until June 15.
The suspension began in early May following a missile strike near Tel Aviv’s airport.
The Lufthansa Group confirmed its flights and subsidiaries’ services to the occupied territories would remain halted until Sunday, June 15—extending an earlier deadline set for June 8.
The company attributed this decision to unstable conditions and security risks in the occupied territories.
Several other airlines have likewise suspended flights to these areas for extended periods.
