Egypt Turkey and Qatar condemn Ben Gvir’s incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque
According to webangah News Agency, Egypt, Turkey, and Qatar issued individual statements denouncing the provocative actions by Itamar Ben-gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security, at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Egypt’s Foreign Ministry warned in an official statement that such inflammatory measures harm the beliefs and sentiments of hundreds of millions of Muslims worldwide. The ministry stressed the need for decisive international action against ongoing violations by the occupying regime and reaffirmed support for Palestinians’ legitimate rights—particularly their right to an independent state within June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Turkey condemned the move as part of what it called Israel’s genocidal policies and forced displacement targeting Palestinians. Its Foreign Ministry emphasized that despite backing from Netanyahu’s government, such actions cannot alter Al-aqsa Mosque’s historical or legal status amid continued attempts to change Jerusalem’s demographic and historical identity.
Qatar also denounced Ben-Gvir’s raid alongside other Israeli officials and over 2,000 settlers into Al-aqsa compound. The Gulf state urged immediate global intervention to pressure Israel into complying with international law.
