Hamas accepts ceasefire proposal and awaits Tel Aviv’s response

webangah News Agency​ reports that Basem Naim, a senior ⁣member of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), confirmed the group’s acceptance of ‌Wittkoff’s proposal in a facebook post. The key terms include an immediate halt⁢ to hostilities, withdrawal of⁣ Israeli occupation forces, and a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.

Naim stated Hamas is ‍now awaiting Israel’s formal response to the offer. A Palestinian ⁤leader revealed yesterday that both Hamas and Israeli officials are reviewing a document ‍mediated by Palestinian-American negotiator Bashara Bahbah,which‌ was drafted with Wittkoff’s coordination.
