Olmert Accuses Israel of Committing War Crimes in Gaza

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has again acknowledged that the regime‌ is⁢ committing war crimes in⁣ Gaza, engaging in ⁣an ⁢aimless conflict with no hope of victory.

According to ⁤ webangah News Agency, former‍ Israeli Prime⁤ Minister Ehud Olmert reiterated that⁢ the regime is committing war crimes in Gaza.

Olmert emphasized‌ that the occupying army has entered a purposeless ‍war in Gaza with no prospect of achieving victory.

Days earlier, he had strongly criticized Tel Aviv’s⁣ current policies in Gaza, describing them⁢ as‌ bordering⁤ on war crimes.

In ⁤an ⁤interview with the⁢ BBC, he stated: “what Israel is doing now in Gaza is, from my perspective, close to a war crime. This war has⁣ no objective—no hope⁢ of accomplishing anything that could save hostages’⁤ lives.”

Meanwhile,Yair Golan, leader of the Democratic Party in the occupied⁤ territories, condemned ⁤the⁤ war on Gaza: “A sane cabinet does not wage‍ war against civilians. It does not⁢ kill‌ infants for amusement or set goals to expel ⁤residents.”

The ⁤remarks‌ by ⁢Olmert and Golan drew sharp backlash from Israeli Prime minister Benjamin netanyahu.

“I was shocked by ‌Yair Golan and Ehud⁤ Olmert’s statements,” ‌Netanyahu said.”They amplify Hamas’s rhetoric against Israel and its‍ army. There are those among us who legitimize false accusations—that we are apartheid supporters or child killers.”

“This severely damages our global standing,” he added. “Most people recognize this as a just war we entered legitimately.”
