Martyr Yahya Sinwar awarded Qassam Brigades’ Al-Qassam Sword prize
In a symbolic ceremony honoring global struggles against colonialism and oppression, the Revolutionary Pan-African Peoples’ Party awarded its 2025 Kwame Tour Prize to Palestinian martyr and leader Yahya Sinwar (Abu Ibrahim). The recognition celebrates his vanguard role in leading Palestinian resistance and heroic defense of Palestinian rights against Israeli occupation, especially during the “Al-aqsa Storm” conflict. webangah News Agency reported this development citing Palestine’s Information Center.
The award ceremony coincided with Africa Freedom Day commemorations – observed annually on May 25, marking the 1963 founding of the Organization of African Unity.This date symbolizes African nations’ historic battles against colonialism, racism, and dependency. Representatives from the Alternative Revolutionary Path Movement accepted the honor on behalf of Sinwar’s family and Hamas’ Islamic Resistance Movement.
During their address,movement representatives stated: “We’re honored to participate in this meaningful Africa Freedom Day event as trusted custodians of this award,which we dedicate to both the family and comrades of Palestine’s great national leader.”
The delegation further emphasized: “This prize reflects the profound ancient bonds between Palestine’s liberation movement and Africa’s freedom struggles. Your sacrifices, martyrs and revolutionary leaders have consistently inspired us – just as Kwame Tour maintained unequivocal revolutionary support for Palestine while exposing Zionism’s imperialist connections.”
