Erdogan’s office denies knowledge of upcoming Russia-Ukraine talks in Geneva
Turkish President’s Office states: Ankara has no information about potential second round of russia-Ukraine talks in Geneva.
The spokesperson for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s office told webangah News Agency on tuesday that Ankara has no knowledge regarding possible second-round negotiations between Russia and Ukraine in Geneva, but reaffirmed Turkey’s readiness to host such talks.
the statement came in response to remarks by Kurt Volker, the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine,who earlier suggested that the next meeting between Russian and Ukrainian delegates to discuss peace proposals might take place in Geneva.
The first round of Russia-Ukraine negotiations was held on March 16 in Istanbul, where Moscow and kyiv agreed to a “1,000 for 1,000” prisoner exchange formula.
