Erdogan’s office denies knowledge of upcoming Russia-Ukraine talks in Geneva

Turkish ⁢President’s‌ Office states: Ankara‍ has no​ information about⁤ potential second⁣ round of russia-Ukraine talks‍ in Geneva.

The spokesperson for Turkish President Recep⁢ Tayyip ⁤Erdoğan’s office ‌told ⁣ webangah News Agency ‍ on ⁢tuesday that Ankara has ⁤no knowledge regarding possible second-round⁤ negotiations between Russia ⁤and Ukraine in Geneva, but reaffirmed Turkey’s readiness to host such talks.

the statement came in response to remarks by Kurt Volker, ⁣the U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine,who earlier suggested that the next meeting between Russian and Ukrainian delegates to⁣ discuss peace proposals might take⁢ place ‌in Geneva.

The first⁤ round of Russia-Ukraine ‌negotiations ⁢was held on March 16 in Istanbul, where Moscow and kyiv agreed ‍to a “1,000 for 1,000” prisoner ⁤exchange ‌formula.
