Ukraine retaliatory strike disrupts Moscow flights
At least two Moscow airports shut down following Ukraine’s large-scale drone attack on Russia.
webangah News Agency reports that at least two major airports in the Russian capital suspended flights after Ukraine launched a widespread drone assault.
Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that 112 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and shot down across six regions during the three-hour attack.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced via Telegram that 12 drones targeting the capital were destroyed.
Russian officials claimed approximately 59 drones targeted Bryansk Oblast, with others directed at Kursk, Belgorod, Tula, Oryol, and Kaluga regions.
The strike occurred after Ukraine endured three consecutive days of heavy Russian missile and drone attacks—described as the most intense since the war began in February 2022.
