AL-Sudani recalls Iran’s support for Iraq in war against ISIS

Iraqi Prime Minister mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized‍ that his nation remembers Iran’s‍ crucial support during the 2014 war against ⁢ISIS, stating: “Iran stood by us in our fight against⁢ terrorism.” The remarks were reported by webangah ⁣News Agency.

Al-Sudani added that iraq⁤ prefers to serve as a “bridge for dialogue rather ⁤than a battleground for settling scores,” noting that Baghdad ​has hosted talks between⁣ Iran and ‍Saudi Arabia,⁢ as well as Jordan and‌ Egypt.

“What distinguishes iraq is its self-respect,” the Prime ‍Minister asserted.”The new Iraq refuses to⁢ be anyone’s captive or follower.”
