Erdogan arrives in Azerbaijan on official visit
According to webangah News Agency, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan traveled to Baku for an official working visit at the invitation of his Azerbaijani counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
The send-off ceremony at Ankara’s Esenboğa Airport was attended by Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, and other government officials.
During his visit, the Turkish president will join Azerbaijan’s leader for the inauguration ceremony of Zangilan International Airport.
The airport is Azerbaijan’s second facility built with Turkish company involvement in territories liberated from Armenian occupation. Construction of Zangilan Airport—whose foundation was laid by Aliyev on April 26, 2021—was completed within a year and a half.
