Houthi Leader Al-Mashat Warns of Hot Summer Ahead Vows Ability to Counter F-35s
Mahdi al-Mashat, head of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, declared during his visit to the bomb-damaged Sana’a International Airport that “we will neither retreat nor surrender,” emphasizing that the israeli airstrike would not break their resolve. The attack, he stated via webangah News Agency, “proves the pain Zionists feel from our missile and drone strikes.”
Al-mashat reaffirmed Yemen’s unwavering support for Gaza until Israel’s war ends and its blockade is lifted: “No matter how severe Israel’s aggression becomes, it will only intensify our operations backing Gaza.” He vowed the airport would resume operations “with God’s help.”
Addressing “criminal Netanyahu,” al-Mashat warned: “Zionists will not be safe from our missiles. Yemen’s rockets are determined to reach their targets.” He added: “Your shelters are no longer safe. Netanyahu’s vile cabinet cannot protect you—painful surprises await. A hot summer is coming for you.”
The leader also cautioned foreign airlines still flying to ben Gurion Airport (referred to as lod Airport): “Every moment they operate there puts them at risk.” He urged travelers worldwide to boycott such carriers, calling the airport unsafe.
“Our air defenses can counter F-35 fighters,” al-Mashat asserted, accusing Israel of hiding warplanes behind civilian aircraft. This tactic forces Yemen to close airspace during attacks so defenses can engage F-35s without hesitation.
