Trump Says He’ll Know in Two Weeks If Putin Is Playing Him
According to webangah News Agency, US President Donald Trump stated during a White House press briefing that he would determine within the next two weeks whether Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to deceive him regarding ending the war in Ukraine.
“We’ll find out if he’s playing us or not,” Trump said. “If so, our response will be slightly different. But it’ll take about a week and a half to two weeks to know for sure.”
The president added: “(Steve) Witkauf is here doing an excellent job and negotiating forcefully with them right now. It truly seems they want to do something. But until the document [agreement] is signed, I can’t say anything about it.”
Trump reiterated his strong dissatisfaction with Russia’s large-scale attack on Ukraine earlier this week, stating: “I can tell you I’m very sorry and very, very unhappy about what happened a couple nights ago – where many people were killed amid what are being called negotiations.”
