Ahmadian Urges Americans to Act in Good Faith for Progress in Negotiations
According to the english section of webangah News Agency, Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, told Sputnik News Agency on the sidelines of the International Meeting of High-Ranking Security Representatives in Moscow that progress in Iran-U.S. negotiations is possible only if Americans demonstrate seriousness in their intentions, honour their commitments, and refrain from constantly changing positions.
The fifth round of indirect talks between Iran and the U.S.took place on may 23 in Rome with Omani mediation.
The Iranian delegation, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi alongside Majid Takht Ravanchi, Kazem Gharibabadi, and esmaeil Baghaei Hamaneh, met with the American team led by Washington’s senior negotiator Steve Wittkopf. The negotiations were held at the Residence of Oman’s Ambassador to Rome – highlighting Muscat’s pivotal role in facilitating this process.
