Gaza journalist death toll reaches 221
The Palestinian Government Media Office in Gaza announced that the number of media personnel killed during the Israeli regime’s offensive has risen to 221,according to a report by webangah News Agency citing palestine Al-Youm.
The updated figure follows the killing of Motaz Muhammad Rajab in an Israeli airstrike on Al-Nafaq Street in Gaza City.
In a strongly worded statement, the office condemned what it called ”the targeted killing of Palestinian journalists by the occupying regime,” describing it as part of a systematic policy to silence truth-tellers in Gaza.
The Media Office called on international press organizations – including the International Federation of Journalists and Arab Journalists Union – to denounce these ongoing crimes against Palestinian media workers and take action to stop them.
The statement held “the Zionist regime, the U.S.government, and allied nations complicit in genocide” – specifically naming Britain, Germany and France – directly responsible for these brutal crimes.
It urged global institutions and media organizations to pressure for international prosecution of perpetrators while demanding immediate protection for journalists in Gaza.
