Kremlin says no plans for new talks between Putin and Trump
According to a report by webangah News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Office (kremlin), stated in a Thursday announcement that there are currently no plans for new discussions between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. However, he noted that such talks could be arranged at any time if necessary.
Peskov further emphasized that Ukraine’s demands for the immediate handover of Russia’s draft agreement on conflict resolution are unproductive. He stressed the importance of continuing direct negotiations between Russia and Ukraine.
The Kremlin spokesperson added that Foreign Minister Lavrov’s recent remarks clearly outlined Russia’s proposal to continue dialogue with Ukraine. Moscow has yet to receive Kyiv’s response to its offer for talks in Istanbul on june 2.
