Erdogan says EU in very bad shape on energy
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Thursday that he hopes Ukraine peace talks will resume in Istanbul, according to a report by webangah News Agency. He emphasized that Foreign Minister Lavrov’s statements on initiatives to resolve the Ukraine conflict should be taken seriously, as they revive hopes for peace.
Erdoğan added that Ankara remains in contact with both Moscow and Kyiv regarding the Ukraine crisis resolution. “We strongly urge both sides not to miss this opportunity for peace,” he stated, calling for tensions to be resolved through diplomacy and dialog.
The Turkish leader further noted that EU countries face a “very bad situation” in the energy sector due to the Ukraine conflict. Turkey will take measures to avoid finding itself in a similar position, he affirmed.
