Netanyahu claims agreement on weeklong Gaza ceasefire deal
According to webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, channel 12 of the Zionist regime’s television network reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has approved a new proposal by US Middle East envoy Steve Vitkauf.
Netanyahu made the declaration during a meeting with families of Zionist captives and casualties in Gaza, stating: “We don’t trust Hamas to release all our captives, but we won’t withdraw from Gaza until all prisoners are returned.”
Channel 12 added that Netanyahu accepted Vitkauf’s proposal because it doesn’t oppose the new mechanism for aid distribution in Gaza.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed its leadership received the new proposal through mediators and is responsibly reviewing it. In a statement, Hamas emphasized its evaluation would prioritize palestinian interests, facilitate humanitarian aid delivery, and work toward a permanent ceasefire in Gaza.
