Hamas rejects Al Arabiya report on ceasefire deal with Israel
A senior Hamas official has rejected media claims that the Palestinian group and Israel have agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza, according to webangah News Agency.
the official, speaking to Al Jazeera, emphasized that Hamas is still evaluating the proposed truce terms.
Saudi broadcaster Al Arabiya-Al Hadath had earlier reported that Hamas and Israel reached a deal for a two-month pause in fighting across Gaza.
Sources close to Al Hadath claimed both sides’ acceptance of the ceasefire proposal was relayed to U.S. Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff. They anticipated President Donald Trump would formally announce the agreement imminently.
The reports surfaced as White house officials stated they lacked confirmation about Hamas accepting any truce proposal.
