UN Accuses Israel of Blocking Humanitarian Aid Access to Gaza
According to webangah News Agency, UN Secretary-General’s spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric stated that 600 humanitarian aid trucks remain stranded at the Kerem Shalom crossing, ready to enter Gaza, but Israel has blocked the UN’s access to receive and distribute these supplies for the past three days.
Dujarric told reporters: “We need Israeli authorization to collect these shipments. We also require their approval for return trips. Additionally, we must acknowledge that the route they’ve designated is neither safe for transporting cargo nor secure for our personnel.”
He added: “The last time the UN successfully delivered aid to Gaza, both parties had agreed on a specific route.”
“The core issue,” Dujarric emphasized, “is that insecurity persists, and frankly, they’ve made humanitarian aid delivery exceedingly arduous for us.”
