UN Accuses Israel of Blocking Humanitarian Aid Access to Gaza

UN Secretary-General’s Spokesperson Accuses Israel of Obstructing Humanitarian Aid access to Gaza

According to webangah News Agency, UN Secretary-General’s spokesperson Stéphane ⁢Dujarric stated that 600 humanitarian aid trucks remain ⁣stranded at the ⁤Kerem Shalom crossing,⁣ ready to enter Gaza, but Israel has blocked the UN’s ⁣access to ‍receive and distribute these supplies for⁣ the past three days.

Dujarric ⁢told reporters: “We need Israeli‍ authorization to collect these ⁣shipments. We also require their approval for ⁤return trips. Additionally, we must acknowledge that the route they’ve designated is neither safe ⁤for transporting cargo nor secure⁤ for our ‍personnel.”

He added: “The last time the ‍UN successfully delivered aid to Gaza, both parties‌ had agreed on a specific route.”

“The‍ core issue,” Dujarric emphasized, “is⁢ that insecurity persists, and frankly, ⁣they’ve made humanitarian‌ aid ⁣delivery exceedingly arduous for⁢ us.”
