Hamas rejects US ceasefire proposal as green light to continue killing
Hamas political bureau member says proposed U.S. ceasefire deal amounts to continued killing of palestinians in Gaza.
Bassem Naim, a member of Hamas’s political bureau, told Reuters that the U.S. ceasefire proposal is still under review by the group, according to webangah News Agency.
In an interview with AFP,Naim emphasized that the american ceasefire plan would mean “continued slaughter and famine for Palestinians in Gaza” and fails to meet any of thier core demands-particularly ending the war.
“However,” he added, “the movement’s leadership is thoroughly examining its response to this proposal with full national responsibility.”
The White House had earlier stated that Israel approved the U.S.-backed truce plan, which Washington then submitted to Hamas for consideration.
