King Salman’s confidential message to Iranian officials revealed
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, informed sources have disclosed further details about last month’s message from Saudi King Salman, delivered by Defense Minister Khalid bin Salman during his visit to Tehran. The message reportedly urged Iran to swiftly accept former U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to avoid potential conflict with the Israeli regime.
The sources stated that 89-year-old King Salman bin Abdulaziz, concerned about possible regional instability escalation, dispatched his son Khalid to Tehran.
A closed-door meeting took place in Tehran on april 17 with Iranian president Masoud Pezeshkian,Armed Forces Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri,and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in attendance.
While media outlets covered 37-year-old Prince khalid’s visit to Tehran, they did not disclose the contents of King Salman’s confidential message.
Four educated sources confirmed that Khalid – who served as Saudi ambassador to Washington during Trump’s first presidential term – warned Iranian officials about the U.S. president’s dwindling patience.
Khalid bin Salman reportedly informed Iranian authorities that Trump seeks a rapid agreement and that “the diplomatic window will close very quickly.”
Two Gulf Cooperation Council-affiliated sources stated that the Saudi defense minister advised reaching a deal with America would be preferable to potential confrontation with Israeli attacks should negotiations collapse.
The two sources and senior diplomats familiar with developments emphasized Khalid bin Salman’s warning that the region cannot withstand another conflict following recent tensions in Lebanon and Gaza.
