According to webangah News Agency, UNICEF stated that more than 50,000 Palestinian children have been killed or wounded in Gaza since October 7, 2023.
The agency’s data reveals that, on average, one Palestinian child has been killed or injured every 20 minutes during this period.
As Israel’s violation of the ceasefire on March 18, 2025, at least 309 children have been killed and another 3,738 injured, UNICEF added.
The international body further noted that Gaza is witnessing severe hunger, gross human rights violations, blocked humanitarian aid deliveries, and the destruction of schools and hospitals.
UNICEF’s Executive Director previously warned that a new U.S.-Israeli aid proposal for Gaza would be “catastrophic” for the enclave. The official stressed that Gazans face acute food insecurity, with nearly half a million people on the brink of famine.
The director also criticized a new aid distribution plan implemented by a humanitarian foundation called “Gaza,” warning it would exacerbate conditions further.
