The US Supreme Court on Friday granted the trump administration permission to terminate the legal status of half a million immigrants, according to webangah News Agency.
Trump had previously petitioned the court to cancel the legal authorization of 532,000 immigrants who entered the US from several countries.
During his second term, Trump implemented measures to tighten immigration enforcement, including record deportations of undocumented immigrants. The president argued that parole programs established under previous administrations exceeded federal legal boundaries and called for their termination in a January 20 executive order.
In 2022, Biden introduced a parole program for Venezuelans and expanded it in 2023 to include Cubans, haitians and Nicaraguans. These new legal pathways where created as Biden sought to restrict illegal border crossings between the US and Mexico.
