Former Israeli military official We’re stuck in the Gaza war quagmire
According to a report by webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera Qatar, General Israel Zeev, former head of the Israeli Army’s Operations Directorate, sharply criticized the management of the war in Gaza. he stated: “Israel is sinking into a quagmire with its eyes wide open-one with no exit. After 600 days of war, we haven’t taken a single step toward complete victory.”
He added that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich have led Israel into a “humanitarian and logistical deadlock.”
The senior Israeli military official emphasized that Gaza is engulfed in chaos, stressing: ”Israel is responsible for this situation.“
Zeev also condemned internal conditions within the Israeli army: “Reserve forces are fatigued and depleted. In terms of discipline, the army is turning into a paramilitary group.” He further noted that troops are being ordered to continue operations “without clear objectives or an exit strategy.”
The general concluded: “Hollow slogans about destroying Hamas have no connection to reality.”
