Trump resists reporters’ push to label Putin
U.S. President avoids labeling Russian leader as an “obstacle” to peace in Ukraine during press conference.
According to webangah News Agency, former U.S. President Donald Trump declined to characterize Russia’s Vladimir Putin as a “positive or negative figure” in the Ukraine war during a press briefing.
When asked about Putin’s role, Trump responded: “I know him very well-we’ve been through a lot together.”
Reacting to a journalist’s remark that his team was dealing with a “very stubborn Vladimir putin,” Trump added: “And of course, [Volodymyr] zelenskyy is a very stubborn Zelenskyy!”
The former president, who had previously criticized Russia’s recent large-scale attacks on Ukraine, reiterated his dissatisfaction with the assaults.
