Trump takes hard stance against China
US President signals resumption of trade tensions with China.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency,US President Donald Trump on Friday pointed to the revival of trade tensions with China,stating on social media: “This country has fully violated its agreement with the united States.”
Trump’s post came hours after remarks by the US Treasury Secretary suggesting that trade negotiations with Beijing had nearly collapsed.
The president said he expects to speak soon with China’s leader.
The Wall Street Journal reported that lifting tariffs remains key to any deal, alongside demands for China to resume exports of rare earth minerals.
Sino-American tensions escalated after Trump announced heavy tariffs on imports from multiple countries, particularly China.
