The Nigerian Army has confirmed eliminating dozens of militants affiliated with Boko Haram and ISIS during air and ground operations in the contry’s northeast, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
Military officials stated that two separate strikes targeted bases linked to Boko Haram and ISIS factions, resulting in the deaths of armed fighters near Nigeria’s border with Cameroon.
A military release confirmed the operations neutralized at least 60 terrorists, including a prominent commander and his deputy during an assault on a Boko Haram stronghold.
Intelligence sources separately reported aerial attacks on a Boko Haram outpost near Nigeria’s border with Niger.
