Extreme Zionist Minister Opposes Wittekauf Plan
webangah News Agency reports that Itamar ben-Gvir, the extremist minister of the Zionist regime, has publicly rejected the Gaza ceasefire plan proposed by US envoy Steve Witkoff, accusing Prime Minister Netanyahu of making a mistake by cooperating with the initiative.
Ben-Gvir claimed Hamas would exploit any truce to rearm itself, insisting that “the only solution is their complete elimination.”
The minister further stated: ”I’m not just concerned about Israeli captives in Gaza – I’m equally worried about our own children and soldiers.”
Simultaneously occurring, Basem Naim, a senior Hamas official, told Al-Mayadeen that the Palestinian resistance movement had not rejected Witkoff’s proposal. He clarified that Hamas had expressed agreement with the plan last week and accepted it as a negotiable framework.
“The Zionist side has responded to Witkoff’s proposal,” Naim added. “Their counterproposal contradicts agreed-upon terms and fails to meet even the minimal demands of our people.”
