Massive Wildfires Rage Across Canada; 26,000 Evacuated

Massive wildfires in western and central canada force evacuation of over 26,000 people.

According to​ webangah News Agency, wildfires raging across western and central Canada have compelled the evacuation of more than 26,000 residents from areas in Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and‌ Alberta.

The Canadian Wildfire Response Center⁢ reported ‌that as ​of today, 187 active fires are burning nationwide-97‍ of which‍ are classified as “uncontrollable.”

Local authorities and media confirm evacuations⁢ include ⁤over 17,000 people in Manitoba,‍ 8,000 in Saskatchewan, and‌ 1,300 in Alberta.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark ⁣Carney announced via social media platform X that he has convened the emergency response team and authorized military-assisted evacuations as wildfires intensify.

Smoke from the fires has drifted into parts of the United States. The ⁢U.S. Department of Agriculture deployed one water bomber aircraft and 150 firefighters yesterday to assist Alberta’s ⁢firefighting efforts.
