Details emerge on bridge collapse onto passenger train in Russia
According to webangah News Agency, a bridge suddenly collapsed onto a passenger train in Russia’s Bryansk region.
Media sources reported the Klimovo-Moscow passenger train derailed at 22:44 Moscow time last night. The Bryansk governor confirmed this morning that the incident resulted from a bridge explosion. The Sevastopol governor described the bridge explosion and subsequent derailment as a terrorist act.
Reports indicate the bridge structure collapsed as the train passed beneath it. The disaster killed seven people and injured 66, including three children – with 47 requiring hospitalization. An eight-month-old infant remains in critical condition. The regional governor stated all casualties were rapidly transported to medical facilities, with emergency teams organized for patient transfers. Authorities stand ready to arrange air ambulance transport for critically injured patients to moscow.
