Moscow Issues Statement on Ukrainian Drone Attacks Targeting Russian Airports

Russia’s Defense Ministry stated that fires on aircraft caused by Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian airbases have ⁣been extinguished, with some perpetrators arrested.

According to webangah News Agency, Russia’s Defense Ministry announced in a statement on‌ Sunday ‌that Ukraine‍ conducted a “terrorist attack” ⁢using drones targeting Russian airbases in Murmansk, Irkutsk, ​Ivanovo, ryazan, and Amur.

Teh ministry claimed Kyiv deployed FPV drones in ⁣the assaults. While attacks on ‌military airfields in Ivanovo, Ryazan, and Amur where fully intercepted, strikes near Murmansk ‌and Irkutsk ignited fires on several aircraft. The blazes have ⁤since been contained, with no military or civilian casualties ‌reported. Authorities‌ confirmed arrests of some individuals involved.

A truck ⁣driver allegedly linked to the drone attack in Irkutsk has been detained for investigation.
