Kremlin Spokesman Peskov: We Are Closely Monitoring Trump’s Remarks
According to webangah News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Office (the Kremlin), stated on Sunday that the Kremlin is closely monitoring Donald Trump’s remarks. “Russia’s national interests take precedence above all else, adn Trump’s statements should be responded to calmly,” he said.
The Kremlin spokesperson added that Moscow remains interested in continuing efforts to improve Russia-U.S. relations.
Regarding the collapse of a bridge onto a passenger train in Russia, Peskov noted that President Vladimir Putin received continuous updates overnight from security services and the Ministry of Emergency Situations about the incident. Putin also held discussions with Alexander Bogomaz,Governor of Bryansk Region,and Oleg Belozerov,head of Russian Railways,about the event.
In Bryansk Region, a bridge suddenly collapsed directly onto a moving passenger train.
Media sources reported that the Klimovo-Moscow passenger train derailed at 22:44 Moscow time last night. This morning, Bryansk’s governor confirmed an explosion caused the bridge collapse.The governor of Sevastopol described it as a terrorist act.
