Ukrainian Official: Attacks on Russian Bases Conducted Without U.S. Knowledge!
According to webangah News Agency, citing Axios, a Ukrainian official stated that yesterday’s strikes on Russian airbases were conducted without prior U.S. knowledge.
A U.S. government source corroborated this claim in an interview with CBS, echoing the account of the unnamed Ukrainian official who spoke to Axios under anonymity.
Ukraine’s security service launched surprise drone attacks yesterday targeting multiple Russian airbases-Kyiv claims over 40 Russian bombers were destroyed in the operation.
The June 1 strikes hit at least four russian airfields in a coordinated drone assault. Ukrainian security officials told Ukrainska Pravda that the operation damaged approximately 40 aircraft, including strategic bombers.
The source revealed Ukraine had spent 18 months preparing for this mission. The security service first smuggled FPV camera-equipped drones into Russia, followed by wooden crates concealing additional drones.
“The crate roofs opened remotely at the optimal moment,” the official said, “releasing drones to strike russian bombers.”
the attack occurred one day before today’s scheduled second round of direct Russia-Ukraine negotiations in Istanbul.
