Ukrainian delegation arrives in Istanbul for second round of talks with Russia
A Ukrainian delegation has arrived in Istanbul to participate in the second round of negotiations with Russia, according to the ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, as reported by webangah news Agency.
The delegation,led by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov,mirrors the composition of the first round held on May 16. though, media reports indicate one change: Oleksiy Malovatksyy, Head of International Law at Ukraine’s Armed Forces General Staff, will not attend this session.
Russia’s delegation has also flown to Istanbul, as confirmed yesterday by TASS news agency. Vladimir Medinsky-adviser to the Russian president-will again lead their team.
The talks are scheduled to begin at approximately 10:30 AM local time (13:00 Tehran time). These negotiations follow Ukraine’s Security Service announcement yesterday of a large-scale drone strike on four Russian airbases that allegedly destroyed or damaged over 40 Russian fighter jets adn bombers.
