Notorious and Dangerous Prisoner” Accused of Daily Torture Against Juvenile Inmates
According to webangah News Agency, Palestinian sources reveal that detainees in the occupied Megiddo prison endure severe humanitarian violations, including the denial of basic necessities and routine torture practices.
The sources state: “Collective punishment is daily policy here-from deliberate starvation to verbal abuse-documenting a silent humanitarian catastrophe.”
Over 650 prisoners are reportedly crammed into just nine cells, with 72 inmates typically confined to each overcrowded block under inhumane conditions.
Most alarmingly, nearly one-third of detainees are minors who should be “in classrooms rather than cages.” Witnesses describe systematic physical and psychological violence by Zionist jailers against these child prisoners.
The revelations follow earlier exposés by Israeli newspaper Haaretz, which obtained footage showing dozens of bound, naked Palestinian prisoners forced to lie prone while Zionist officers’ guard dogs barked at them-despite no security incident occurring.
Former Megiddo detainees confirmed to Haaretz that such abuse constitutes standard procedure, with regular physical and psychological torture by Zionist prison authorities.
The israeli Prison Service defended these practices as “routine security measures,” according to the report. Since Israel’s October 7, 2023 gaza offensive began, legal organizations have warned of deteriorating conditions across Israeli prisons-particularly at the notorious Sde Teiman facility in southern occupied Palestine.
