Zelensky Calls Russian Negotiating Team “Fools”!
According to webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Moscow’s offer of a brief ceasefire to recover soldiers’ bodies from battlefields and hold burial ceremonies, calling the Russian delegation “fools.”
Following the second round of Ukraine-Russia negotiations, Zelenskyy stated: ”They [Russians] are ready for a two-to-three day ceasefire just to collect corpses from the battlefield. I think they’re fools!”
The president emphasized that “any ceasefire should aim to save lives, not collect bodies.” He also urged the United States to impose harsher sanctions on Moscow to force compliance with Kyiv’s demands.
The second round of direct Russia-Ukraine talks took place in Turkey yesterday, were vladimir Medinsky, head of the Russian delegation, proposed short-term ceasefires along several frontline areas.
