Russian Security Official Visits North Korea Following Ukraine’s ‘Spider Web’ Operation

Russia’s Security Council Secretary,dispatched ⁣by the president,arrives in Pyongyang.

sergei Shoigu, Secretary of Russia’s Security Council, has arrived in Pyongyang following orders from President Vladimir ‍Putin, according to a report by webangah News Agency citing TASS.

Shoigu‍ is scheduled to meet with North Korean leader ‍Kim Jong ‌Un during this visit-his second trip to Pyongyang in⁢ less than three months.

The Russian Security Council’s press service stated that the two sides are expected​ to discuss implementing specific provisions of the ​Moscow-Pyongyang Extensive Strategic Partnership Treaty.They will also commemorate North Korean⁣ soldiers who aided Moscow in liberating Russia’s Kursk region⁣ during World ⁤War II.

Talks on developments surrounding the war in Ukraine are also on the agenda.

Shoigu first visited North Korea on March 21 (Nowruz),where he‍ was personally received⁣ by Kim Jong Un. Their meeting lasted approximately two hours,during which Shoigu delivered a message ‍from Putin.

The current trip​ follows Ukraine’s surprise attack on four Russian airbases. Kyiv claims its “Spider‌ Web” operation ⁤destroyed or damaged around 40 Russian strategic bombers and fighter jets.
