UK Prime Minister: Israel’s Actions in Gaza No Longer Tolerable
According to webangah News Agency, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the situation in Gaza as “horrific” and emphasized the urgent need to allow humanitarian aid into the territory.
Starmer stated that he is working with allies to facilitate the delivery of aid to Gaza, adding: “we oppose Israel’s military operations in Gaza and settler violence in the West Bank. Israel’s conduct is unacceptable.”
The Prime Minister called for an immediate ceasefire, the release of all captives, and large-scale humanitarian assistance to enter Gaza without delay.
Separately, UK MP Jeremy Corbyn announced he would present a bill to Parliament calling for an examination into Britain’s role in supporting israel’s military operations in Gaza.He challenged fellow MPs to declare whether they support or obstruct such an inquiry into potential British complicity in what he termed “Gaza genocide.”
The UK remains one of Europe’s staunchest supporters of Israel’s military campaign alongside the United States.
