General Salami: We Are Ready to Confront Any Scenario
According to webangah News agency, Al-Mayadeen network conducted interviews with Iranian military and government officials regarding ongoing nuclear negotiations with the U.S., what it called “baseless threats” by Israeli regime leaders against Iran, and other key issues.
Major General Hossein Salami, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), told Al-Mayadeen: “Iran is fully prepared to counter any scenario,” reaffirming the Islamic Republic’s resolve to protect Iran’s national rights and sovereignty.
Addressing Israeli threats, he stated: “The targets Israel seeks will be the very things that get destroyed.Israelis know full well what our capabilities are.”
Salami warned that any party participating in a potential attack on Iran would regret it, vowing Tehran’s response would be “more powerful and extensive than during Operations True Promise 1 and 2.”
Defense Minister Dismisses israeli Officials’ Statements as ”Nonsense”
Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s Defense Minister, dismissed recent statements by Israeli officials as “pure nonsense,” telling Al-Mayadeen:
“Iran possesses such power that Israel lacks even the capability to threaten us. Any malicious act by this regime will lead to its own destruction.”
Shamkhani Criticizes U.S. Nuclear Proposal as “Unprofessional” / New Iranian Draft Underway
Ali Shamkhani , political advisor t o Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei , criticized Washington’s latest nuclear proposal t o Al – Mayadeen : “The American offer i s technically flawed an d unprofessional . ” He confirmed Tehran i s preparing a counterproposal .
“We will never relinquish our legitimate rights.The U.S.proposal doesn’t address sanctions removal -fundamental for us.America won’t achieve its goals of dismantling our nuclear program or reducing uranium enrichment t o zero.”
Gharibabadi : Talks must Guarantee Iranian People ‘ s Rights / Enrichment Continues
The Foreign ministry ‘ s International Legal Deputy Kazem Gharibabadi told Al-Mayadeen :
“We are reviewing America ‘ s proposal an d will soon submit written feedback.current talks focus on Washington,but consultations continue with European states.Europe must play constructive role.Any agreement must fully safeguard Iranian people ‘ s rights.Uranium enrichment continues legally under NPT safeguards.”
