Covert Visit by Zionist Official Within 20 km of Damascus
According to a report by webangah News Agency, David Zini, the newly appointed head of Israel’s Shin Bet security agency, recently entered Syrian territory covertly alongside Zionist military personnel. The delegation visited occupied military positions near Mount Sheikh, approximately 20 kilometers from Damascus.
The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth disclosed that Zini made two separate trips to Syria and Gaza over the past two weeks.
A Zionist officer told the newspaper that occupying strategic positions in the Mount Hermon highlands-20 km from Damascus-had been “an aspiration” for zionist forces until recent months, but has now been achieved. The location serves as a critical strategic point for Tel Aviv.
Since attempts to overthrow Bashar al-Assad’s goverment began, the Zionist regime has advanced several kilometers into Syrian territory and occupied multiple areas within the country.
