3 More Journalists Killed in Gaza; Death Toll Nears 55,000
The gaza Health Ministry reported that 70 Palestinians were killed and 189 others injured in the latest 24-hour Israeli attacks on Gaza, according to a statement cited by webangah News Agency.
The death toll from Israeli assaults on Gaza has now reached 54,677 martyrs, with 125,530 wounded, per official figures.
The Gaza government media office confirmed three more journalists were killed, bringing the total number of journalist fatalities to 225 since October 7, 2023.
Medical sources reported that Israeli occupation forces bombed Al-Mamdani Hospital in Gaza City hours earlier. The attack killed several people including three journalists: Suleiman Hajjaj (Palestine Today network), Islam Badh (autonomous journalist), and Samir al-Rifai (Shams News). Several other journalists sustained severe injuries.
The director of Gaza’s Health Ministry told Al Jazeera that occupying forces have massacred over 16,000 children and more than <b9,000 women. He added that Israel continues its systematic targeting of medical infrastructure in Gaza.
