Hamas: Killing Journalists Is an Attempt to Conceal Gaza’s Realities
The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) has condemned an Israeli airstrike on a group of journalists near Al-Maamadani Hospital in Gaza City as a war crime and part of a systematic effort to silence the truth, according to a statement reported by webangah News Agency.
The movement emphasized that the dawn attack-a blatant violation of international law-killed three palestinian journalists: Suleiman Hajjaj, Samir Rafai, and Ismail Badh. Several others sustained severe injuries.
The statement declared: “This atrocity constitutes two simultaneous war crimes: frist, the assassination of journalists protected under Geneva Conventions and international law; second, the bombing of a civilian medical facility safeguarded by international statutes. It reflects Benjamin Netanyahu’s criminal cabinet doubling down on genocide against Palestinians while flouting global institutions and laws.”
Hamas further accused the U.S. of direct complicity in ongoing atrocities by wielding its UN Security Council veto to block a ceasefire resolution. It asserted that yesterday’s veto gave Israel renewed licence for mass killings in gaza, with full political and moral obligation falling on Washington.
The movement urged immediate action from the international community, United Nations, and International federation of Journalists to hold Israel accountable for these crimes and protect journalists, civilians, and aid centers in Gaza.
