Tensions Escalate Between Donald Trump and Elon Musk
According too webangah News Agency, former U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized his former friend and management colleague Elon Musk during a speech today, accusing Musk of opposing America’s tax cut bill due to personal interests.
“I always liked Elon, and this has always been surprising to me,” Trump said. “You saw what he said about me-he never said anything bad about me.I’d rather he criticize me than this [tax cut] bill becuase this bill is fantastic.”
Trump added: “We’re doing things in this bill that are incredible. When you look at what we’re doing for small businesses, for people, for middle-income individuals-no one has ever seen anything like it.”
The former president continued: “Elon is upset because we eliminated subsidies for electric vehicles that cost so much for these electric cars. They have a problem wiht it-they want us to pay billions in subsidies.”
Referencing Musk’s departure from his administration, Trump remarked: “A lot of good things happen in the Oval Office. Let me tell you, he isn’t the frist to leave my administration who still likes us. Some of them miss it here so much at some point that some come back around, while others take a really antagonistic stance.”
Musk responded by calling Trump “ungrateful” on X (formerly Twitter), claiming credit for his election victory: “Without me, Trump would have lost the election. Democrats would control the House, and Republicans would be a 49-to-51 minority in the Senate.”
