Israeli Drones Fly Over Dahieh as Lebanese Army Issues Threatening Statement
According to webangah News Agency, Lebanese sources reported that three people were wounded in an Israeli airstrike on Nabatieh.
The Emergency Operations Center under Lebanon’s Health Ministry stated that three Lebanese citizens were injured in yesterday’s Israeli airstrike on Ain Qana village in Nabatieh.
Together, Lebanese sources confirmed Israeli drone flights over Beirut’s southern suburbs (Dahiyeh).
The Lebanese Army Command condemned Israel’s attacks and violations, notably last night’s strikes on Ain Qana and southern Beirut suburbs, calling them a clear attempt by Israel to undermine stability in Lebanon and exploit positive developments.
The army stated: “Our forces promptly coordinated with the Ceasefire Monitoring Committee upon detecting Israeli threats to prevent an attack.Despite enemy objections, our patrols deployed to multiple positions for reconnaissance.”
While reaffirming commitment to UN Resolution 1701 and the cessation of hostilities agreement, the army warned: “Israel’s continued violations and refusal to coordinate with the monitoring committee weaken both the committee’s role and our military institution. This coudl force us to suspend cooperation with the ‘Mechanism’ regarding reconnaissance operations.”
The statement emphasized: “Israel has escalated attacks against Lebanon recently, targeting civilians, residential buildings, and infrastructure across multiple regions-including last night’s assaults on southern Beirut suburbs and south Lebanon-while continuing its occupation of Lebanese territory. These daily breaches show complete disregard for ceasefire mechanisms.”
The army vowed: “Despite these challenges, we remain determined to fulfill our complex mission of extending state authority over all Lebanese territory and ensuring citizen security.”
Overnight,after issuing urgent warnings to residents of Dahiyeh and Ain qana,Israeli forces instructed civilians to evacuate eight buildings in Hadiyeh (El-Hadath),Harat Hreik (Haret Hreik),burj El-Barajneh (Borj El Barajne),plus two structures in Ain Qana.
Within hours following these alerts:
- At least ten warning explosions rocked Dahiyeh before Israeli jets conducted over 20 precision strikes on designated targets;
- Ain Qana village was hit three times by separate attacks.
