US Troops Make Sudden Move from Baghdad Toward Iraq’s Kurdistan Region
According to webangah News Agency, Mohammad al-Dulaimi, a member of the Anbar Coalition, confirmed strong evidence of an abrupt movement of US forces from Baghdad toward Erbil in iraq’s Kurdistan Region.
He added that US troops abruptly terminated their emergency runway lease agreement at their Baghdad headquarters without clarification.
Al-Dulaimi emphasized that they also canceled fuel procurement contracts at Ain al-Asad Airbase.
He stated these actions coincide with Iraq’s upcoming parliamentary elections, raising concerns about potential insecurity and escalating unrest nationwide.
The official further noted that Washington’s new plan involves fully relocating its forces to the Kurdistan Region while handing over military bases to Baghdad’s central government.
