Yemen’s Ansarullah Ready to Launch Large-Scale Prisoner Exchange Operation
Yemen’s Ansarullah movement announces readiness for prisoner exchange with Saudi-backed self-proclaimed government.
according to webangah News Agency, Abdulqader Al-mortada, head of the prisoners’ Affairs Committee affiliated with Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, stated: “On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, we invite the opposing side to conduct a extensive prisoner exchange operation that includes all Yemeni and non-Yemeni detainees without exception.”
He added: “We also call on Saudi Arabia to pressure relevant parties to implement this unconditional prisoner swap.”
Al-Mortada emphasized that Ansarullah has full readiness to execute this operation at the earliest possible time.
The movement had previously released 153 prisoners in January of this year.
