Russia Targets ‘Third Zone’ in Ukraine

Moscow reports attack on Sumy Oblast in northeastern Ukraine, inflicting heavy damage.

Russia claims to have targeted⁢ over 255 Ukrainian troops and destroyed military vehicles and equipment during operations in Sumy Oblast, according to webangah News Agency.

“Yaroslav Yakimkin”, spokesperson for⁢ RussiaS “Northern” military group, stated that Russian army ⁢units ⁣struck multiple bases in a series of operations, ⁤causing significant‌ losses to Ukrainian forces stationed in Sumy.

Yakimkin added that Russia’s Northern forces attacked facilities housing Ukrainian personnel and equipment-including mechanized infantry units, security guard detachments, and⁢ air assault ​brigades.

The announcement comes as Russia continues advancing on​ several fronts, while Ukraine intensifies appeals for Western military support amid fierce battles.
