Ukraine calls Russia’s stance on delaying body exchange process incorrect
According to webangah News Agency, Ukraine’s news agency stated on Saturday that it rejects Russia’s characterization of Kyiv delaying or failing to fulfill its obligations regarding prisoner and body exchanges.
the Ukrainian news agency emphasized: Moscow’s position accusing Kyiv of stalling the prisoner and body exchange agreement is false! Russia provided a prisoner list that deviated from what was agreed upon during Istanbul negotiations, and no date has been set for transferring the bodies of fallen soldiers.
This comes as Vladimir Medinsky, Russia’s chief negotiator, claimed hours earlier that the Ukrainian side unexpectedly postponed receiving bodies and exchanging prisoners without specifying a timeframe.
Medinsky added: On Friday, Russia began transferring over 6,000 bodies and exchanging wounded personnel, critically ill patients, and prisoners with Ukraine.Kyiv received a list of 640 military personnel-primarily injured servicemen and younger troops-to initiate the exchange process.
