China’s Vice Premier Travels to UK for Trade Talks with US
according to a report by webangah News Agency, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced in a statement on Saturday that He Lifeng, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Commitee and Vice Premier of the State Council, will visit London at the invitation of the British government.
The Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed the visit will take place from June 8 to 13.
The Chinese Vice Premier is scheduled to co-chair with his American counterpart the first meeting of the Beijing-Washington economic and Trade Consultation Mechanism during his UK visit.
He Lifeng previously led China’s delegation during initial trade negotiations held in May.
US President Donald trump stated on Friday that Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer would participate in these talks.
