China’s Vice Premier Travels to UK for Trade Talks with US

according to a report by webangah News Agency, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced in a statement ​on Saturday ​that‍ He Lifeng, member of‌ the Political Bureau of the Communist Party⁤ of China Central Commitee and Vice Premier of the ‌State‍ Council, will visit London at the ⁤invitation of the British government.

The⁢ Foreign Ministry spokesperson confirmed the visit will ⁢take place from June 8 to 13.

The Chinese Vice Premier is scheduled to‍ co-chair with his American counterpart the first meeting‍ of the Beijing-Washington economic and Trade Consultation Mechanism during his UK visit.

He Lifeng previously ‌led China’s delegation ⁤during initial trade negotiations held in May.

US President Donald trump stated ⁣on Friday that Treasury Secretary Scott Bassett, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick,​ and US Trade Representative Jamieson⁣ Greer would participate in these talks.
