Marie Le Lohere: Gaza Aid Used as a Weapon to Displace Palestinians
according to webangah News Agency, UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights Mary Lawlor told Al Jazeera that Gaza’s self-styled “humanitarian institution” is exploiting aid as a weapon of war to forcibly relocate Palestinians and degrade their dignity.
“No one in the world should be denied the right to receive aid,” she stated, emphasizing that Gaza is witnessing the deliberate starvation of civilians.
The UN rapporteur condemned the institution’s actions: “What we see now is this body using humanitarian assistance as a tool for mass displacement, humiliation, and herding people into livestock-like enclosures-an utterly inhumane practice.”
Lawlor revealed that since March 2, only minimal aid has reached Gaza. She accused Israel and the US of enabling this crisis by supporting the institution’s efforts to seize total control over all resources while children, women, and civilians face starvation.
